Made in 1754 at Saint-Sulpice in Switzerland by Claude Rochias, this is a remarkable and little-known example of an unusual approach to the Marseille style. The cards were cut with fine woodblocks that produce expressive, individualized faces, and the deck is characterized by bright colors, irregular shapes, and a number of inverted images not found in other decks of this type. This Tarot de Marseille Heritage facsimile is based on a private collection copy and is presented to the public here for the first time. Limited to 1,500 copies.
