The DreamKeepers Tarot was developed from Liz Huston's years of personal growth and spiritual inquiry, and the imagery reflects that process rather than simply illustrating tarot concepts. Working in a mixed media approach that combines acrylic, oil, and watercolor with digital photographic montage, she creates a visual language that is layered, symbolic, and consistently surprising. The deck draws from the Rider-Waite tradition but processes it through Huston's own esoteric studies across Paganism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Tantrism, and shamanic traditions.
The deck treats tarot as a mirror, a tool for surfacing what is already present in the reader rather than delivering external messages. This edition for U.S. Games Systems includes new artwork created specifically for it, alongside the existing imagery that made the deck a favorite for those who appreciate tarot as a serious inner practice.
Liz Huston is a self-taught artist based in Venice, California, who has spent more than two decades developing a practice that combines mixed media painting with digital assemblage and photomontage. Her esoteric studies span multiple traditions including Paganism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Tantrism, and the Q'ero shamanic lineage of the high Andes in Peru. She also operates a gallery and studio space in downtown Los Angeles.
