The radiant tarot: pathway to creativity
The Radiant Tarot grew from years of work with archetypal imagery and the idea that all living things, animal, plant, and mineral, participate in a shared intelligence. The paintings by Alexandra Eldridge are richly detailed and somewhat fantastical, with animals, plants, and human figures coexisting in a dreaming world that does not fully obey the logic of the everyday. The imagery draws on Rilke's writings on the openness of animal perception and William Blake's notion of nature as imagination itself.
Tony Barnstone wrote the accompanying 208-page full-color guidebook, drawing on his background as a poet and translator to bring a literary depth to the card interpretations. The deck is packed in a deluxe keepsake box and works particularly well for anyone who finds their creative life and their inner life deeply intertwined.

Alexandra Eldridge received her BA in art and literature from Ohio University and continued her education at Cambridge University, Santa Reparata Graphic Workshop in Florence, and Penland College, among other institutions. She co-founded Golgonooza, an arts establishment shaped by the philosophies of William Blake, and has had over forty solo exhibitions in the United States and internationally, including in Paris, London, Belgrade, and Santa Fe. Her work has been commissioned for murals in Paris and has appeared on the covers of more than two dozen books of poetry.
