Vesper Tarot
This limited edition deck, produced in a run of 4,000 copies, follows two characters, Vespertiliu and Macigian, through a journey told entirely in black and white. The illustrations by Italian artist Veronica Ciancarini have the expressive, slightly gothic quality of her comic work, with fine line detail and a strong sense of atmosphere. The monochromatic palette is a deliberate choice rather than a constraint, giving the imagery a consistency and mood that color would have complicated.

Veronica Ciancarini, known online as Vespertiliu, is an Italian illustrator, comic artist, and content creator with a particular fascination with bats and gothic aesthetics. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with a degree in theatre set design. Her published works include the graphic novel Bleeding Mariachi and IL GROSSO, published by Panini Comics. She is also the creator of the webcomic Nundead, published weekly on Instagram.
