Ferenc Pinter Tarot
Ferenc Pinter was a world-renowned painter, and this deck represents the most complete expression of his tarot work to date. The Major Arcana were created by Pinter himself, while the minor arcana was assembled from across his broader body of paintings, resulting in a deck that feels fully cohesive despite drawing from multiple sources. Borderless cards allow Pinter's expressive style to fill each image completely, and the color reproduction is exceptional, capturing the nuanced shading and finely observed detail that defined his work throughout his career.

Ferenc Pinter was born in Alassio, Italy in 1931 to a Hungarian father and Italian mother, and showed artistic talent from an early age. After the Hungarian Revolution in 1956 he emigrated to Italy, settling in Milan where he was quickly commissioned to create an 80-square-meter mural. He went on to collaborate with the Mondadori publishing house for over 30 years, producing covers and illustrations for numerous books and magazines. His preferred medium was tempera. In 1989 he painted the 22 Major Arcana for Lo Scarabeo, followed by the 56 Minor Arcana between 2000 and 2002. He continued working until his death despite serious illness.
