This is a 22-card Major Arcana deck created by Italian artist Roberta Musi, published by Il Meneghello in a limited edition of only 150 copies in 2018. The deck is organized around the idea of life and the four classical elements, with a central figure who is deliberately asexual and without a face, representing the human experience as something universal rather than individual. The large cards measure approximately 4 by 6.25 inches and have a distinctive painterly quality that makes each one feel like a work in its own right.
Roberta Musi was born in Parma and trained at the Paolo Toschi Art Institute, studying painting, ceramics, and engraving under several professors. She works across a wide range of materials including wood, canvas, glass, ceramic, and plexiglas, and has exhibited her work in Bologna, Parma, Lucca, and Genoa. She is particularly drawn to depicting movement, with horses, racing cyclists, and rhythmic gymnastics among her recurring subjects.
