This deck originated in the Liguria-Piedmont region of northwest Italy in 1830, a part of the country with deep roots in esoteric practice. Believed to have been produced by the Recchi brothers, the deck reflects the Restoration period following Napoleon's occupation and is rooted in the Marseille tradition. It is part of Lo Scarabeo's Anima Antiqua series, reproduced with care on antiqued cardstock and packaged in a sturdy lift-top box. Each copy is individually numbered, and the edition number is revealed upon opening.
