Tarot of the Gnomes

The Tarot of the Gnomes builds an entire world around a fictional cast of small, skilled, and surprisingly wise creatures. The deck follows Sichen, a somewhat foolish gnome, through a version of the Fool's Journey that introduces Princess Ur, the gnome King and Queen, Tecla the Hermit, and a full supporting cast of gnome society. The Major Arcana unfolds as a story, while the illustrated Minor Arcana populates the suits with scenes from daily life in the gnome world.

Each card includes a key word, making this one of the more beginner-friendly decks available despite its elaborate conceptual framework. The whimsical, warmly colored art brings genuine wit to the traditional archetypes without undercutting their meaning. It follows the Rider-Waite-Smith structure throughout.
